Maqilian in the Night Vol.11

This is a special volume of the entire series - a whole new volume written for new publishing 2022 edition in addition of the original 10 book story at 2011, an extended ending and a new start of the fantastic journey. I wanted to show Maodou asleep, forgot everything that dangers her, finally starting her own life in a new chapter - but this time, Lama is still accompanying her and remembering everything for both of them, as always. And the mysterious black cat watched over for them in silent from volume one all the way to the end.

I hear that the black cat’s figure in the story is inspired by the author’s cat who passed away long ago. I really appreciate how her story and my art of the kitty can keep our memory of passed ones in this way, and our love of them can last long and be spread to so many, and give life to a new character in a new story.
